Restorative Dentistry
Composite Restorations/fillings – When a tooth has a cavity or is chipped, cracked, or otherwise partially damaged, a filling is often the preferred method of repair. With dark amalgam fillings a thing of the past, Dr. Hutchinson uses tooth-colored composite materials to keep your repaired teeth looking natural while providing excellent durability in small to medium sized restorations.
Crowns – When a larger sized restoration is required, a crown is often the treatment of choice. Crowns are essentially “caps” that completely encase a damaged or unattractive tooth. Our customized and long-lasting crowns restore both the function and appearance of your tooth for a flawless smile. Using advanced CAD/CAM dentistry, we are able to take a digital model of your teeth with a 3-D intraoral scanner, and build and place your crown all in one appointment. This eliminates the need for a messy impression and the need to place your tooth in a temporary crown until your permanent crown can be made elsewhere. Dr. Hutchinson is able to maintain complete control over the process and restoration from start to finish and takes extra care and attention to detail in order to ensure that your crown has the most precise fitment and natural look possible.
Bridges – If you are missing one or more teeth, a bridge can be a quick, often more affordable way to restore your smile. A bridge works by filling the space left by a missing tooth with a crown and the entire prosthetic is anchored securely in place with dental crowns on the natural teeth on either side of the missing tooth / teeth.
Implants – Our team provides the most advanced form of tooth replacement with implant dentistry. Dental implants restore missing teeth permanently and are considered the ideal tooth replacement option because it replaces the entire tooth, including the tooth root. Dental implants have truly revolutionized how missing teeth are replaced. While our practice does not actually place implants, Dr. Hutchinson plays a vital part of the process in the planning phase and in the restorative phase, including designing and installing the new crown over the implant. We work closely with several specialists that we trust to have the actual implants placed.
